CCU Scholarship Application Requirements (International Students Only) 

 

CCU Scholarship Application carried out by CCU OIA office is open for application each semester, except for 1st semester student, the following documents are required for the CCU Scholarship application; please be noted that the following information is subject to change by the office of International Affairs (OIA).

Important Note: Students who are recipients of a Government scholarship are not eligible to apply for the CCU scholarship concurrently, as per regulations.

 


Required Documents:

  1. Scholarship Application Form (attached below).
  2. Attachment 1 - To be completed by the Department/Program Office.
  3. Attachment 2 - To be completed by the Language Center. This attachment is only necessary for students evaluated by their department to take Chinese courses. The OIA will submit Attachment 2 to the Language Center after the International Student Profile information is filled out.
  4. Transcript (grades, 成績單) from the previous semester (printed out from CCU academic affairs office 教務處).

 

For Master's or Ph.D. students: In the absence of a transcript for the semester and if currently in the process of writing a thesis, a recommendation letter from the adviser along with a list of research accomplishments (including the research proposal) is acceptable.

All required documents must be submitted to the OIA before the designated deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Scholarship Duration Limits:

  • Undergraduate students: Maximum of four years (eight semesters). Students extending graduation due to a double major may apply exceptionally in the fifth year.
  • Master's students: Maximum of two years (four semesters). An exception for the third year requires an adviser’s reference and research results (including thesis writing and publications).
  • Doctoral students: Maximum of seven years (fourteen semesters).
